Pep Guardiola called Arsenal ‘the best team in Europe’ after his Manchester City team beat Arsenal in the Carabao Cup final. Nico O’Reilly scored both goals with Kepa Arrizabalaga at fault for the first. Mikel Arteta said the defeat was a ‘very hard one to take’. Defending his decision to start the Arsenal goalkeeper, Arteta said: ‘He’s played all the [games in the] competition and I think it would have been very unfair for him and for the team to do something different.’
