A woman was killed Wednesday morning in a crash with a tractor-trailer on the access road of IH 37 in Atascosa County.
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, a 58-year-old woman in a Honda Fit ran a stop light and was hit by the big rig.
The crash sent the big rig down an embankment and onto the main lanes of IH 37.
The woman died on the scene. The driver of the tractor-trailer was transported to a hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening.
Traffic on IH 37 was shut down at the 113-mile marker near Pleasanton until after 3 p.m.
