49ers met with FSU safety Jammie Robinson at the NFL Scouting Combine

The San Francisco 49ers could be in the market for another safety. Although, general manager John Lynch sounded pretty confident this week that veteran Tashaun Gipson wouldn’t retire. Still, he is scheduled to become an unrestricted free agent, so the player and team would need to come to a mutually beneficial arrangement.

According to Justin Melo of The Draft Network, the 49ers are one of several teams that met with Florida State safety Jammie Robinson at the NFL Scouting Combine in Indianapolis. Melo also lists the Buffalo Bills, Atlanta Falcons, Denver Broncos, and Detroit Lions as teams that spoke with the former Seminole.

“Robinson is a versatile defender with plenty of interest in his services,” wrote Melo.
