49ers Add A Talented Tight End To The Offense

The San Francisco 49ers have the luxury of George Kittle at tight end.

He has had two 1,000-yard receiving seasons in his five-year career and finished with 910 yards in 2021 despite missing three games.

Kittle also had 634 yards and two touchdowns in 2020 even if he only played eight games due to knee and foot injuries.

Despite those limitations, the former Iowa standout is a consistent performer when he is healthy.

For that reason, he is the highest-paid tight end in the league in terms of annual average value at $15 million a year.

He is also a three-time Pro Bowler and a two-time All-Pro.

Kittle is a huge part of the 49ers’ offense that has powered the team to two playoff appearances in the last three seasons.

But while San Francisco has one of the best tight ends in the game, they’ve signed another tight end to beef up their roster.
