3 Texas cities among the country’s most unfaithful for relationships

A report says people in these cities are more likely to have affairs

Three Texas cities topped the list of the top 10 most unfaithful cities in the U.S., ranking them based on how likely partners will be unfaithful.

Texas may be the place where people are migrating to, but a new report warns you might have a hard time finding a significant other that wants to be with you and only you. Three Texas locales are among the top U.S. cities for people who are unfaithful to their partners, according to a report from MyDatingAdvisor.com.

Dallas, Fort Worth, and Houston are not just in the top 10 most unfaithful cities, they lead the list in the top No. 1, 2 ,and 3 spots, respectively. MyDatingAdvisor.com created a scoring system to determine an unfaithful index based on 100-point scores in relationship satisfaction, life satisfaction, infidelity intent, and affair activities. The site also looked at Google search trends for “affairs” on a 100-point scale.

Dallas leads the list with a marriage rate of 47%, a divorce rate of 12%, and a separation rate 2%. The Google trend score for searching “affairs” in Dallas is 32.85. 

Here are numbers for the other two cities: 

2. Fort Worth

  • Marriage rate: 46%
  • Divorce rate: 12%
  • Separation rate: 2%
  • Happiness index: 51.46
  • Google search interest for an affair: 30.96

3. Houston

  • Marriage rate: 47%
  • Divorce rate: 12%
  • Separation rate: 2%
  • Happiness index: 49.00
  • Google search interest for an affair: 32.67

San Antonio ranked No. 64 on the list of unfaithful cities, but the report didn’t provide any numbers for the Alamo City. However, San Antonio is still marked as an “Unfaithful” city.

Two other Texas cities, Laredo and McAllen, appear on the top 10 list of faithful cities in the U.S. at No. 5 and No. 9, respectively. The cities had low Google trends score for “affairs” and higher marriage and happiness index rates.
