Open Thread: This is the last weekend of the Spurs Pop Up Store

Still lost of wonderful memorabilia…and a hoop to shoot on!

Once the San Antonio Spurs locked in a playoff berth, a Pop Up Store appeared on St. Mary’s in the downtown area. I visited today and bought a t-shirt and my fiesta medals. My daughter also picked something up for me for Father’s Day. I am hoping for the Go Spurs Go Skateboard, but the bag looked like it contained socks, which in and of itself might be a good omen.

If you have not made the venture down to the shop and are in the San Antonio area, this is your last weekend. The shop will close its doors Monday and will most likely not be up again until next season.

If you do go, and you buy the Fiesta Spurs Flag, send me a picture so I can offer due respect and envy.

Have a great Fiesta Weekend, Spurs fans. If you’re at the King William parade, be on the lookout for the Spurs “float” sponsored by Discovery School. I’ll be walking on the side of the trailer with the children drumming.
