Spurs try to get back on the winning track against the Wolves

Welcome to the Game Thread. Veterans of the Game Thread know how we do things around here, but for all you newbies we have a few rules. Our community guidelines apply and basically say be cool, no personal attacks, don’t troll and don’t swear too much.

The Spurs went 1-2 in their home stand, starting with LaMarcus dominating the Thunder, and it was all downhill from there with a rout by the Celtics and a disappointing loss to the Grizzlies. Now they go on the road to find their identity and a way to win. It’s still early in the season, but the parts haven’t really meshed so far. Dejounte Murray looks healthy, but he hasn’t been consistent enough on a minutes restriction to lift the team. LaMarcus Aldridge has had a couple of excellent games, but has also disappeared at times. DeMar DeRozan didn’t get the foul call at the end of the Grizzlies game, but it should never have come to that. Derrick White has been the Spurs most consistent contributor, but he can’t do it by himself. Tonight is the night for the team to get together with a team effort against the Timberwolves, who are currently among the teams that the Silver and Black figure to be in a battle with for one of the final playoff spots at the end of the season. Go SPURS GooOOOoo!!
