Xavi names the aspect of their game Barcelona must improve

Barcelona boss Xavi Hernandez has been speaking to the press ahead of his side’s next outing.

When doing so, the Spaniard would outline which aspect of the game Barcelona have to improve.

And according to Xavi, Barcelona must keep more clean sheets: “Conceding too many goals? We have to improve in this aspect, we must keep more clean sheets.”

A quick at Barcelona’s recent results show why Xavi is keen to improve defensively.

La Blaugrana have not kept a single clean sheet in their last five outings across all competitions, last managing a shut-out vs Alaves all the way back on the 23^rd of January.

Elsewhere in his pre-Athletic Bilboa press conference, Xavi stated that he was surprised by the improvement in Adama Traore’s decision making:

Barcelona vs Athletic Bilboa

Barcelona are now set to face off with Athletic Bilboa on Sunday evening.

La Blaugrana head into the weekend’s action sat 4^th in La Liga. And whilst they are level on points with 5^th place Atletico Madrid, Barca do have a game in hand.

Athletic Bilboa, though, will be no pushover as they are 8^th in the Spanish top-flight at present and have a very solid defensive record.

They have conceded just 21 in 25 league ties this term, with only Real Madrid and Sevilla better at the back.
