A fatal rollover shut down Loop 1604 on the far East Side for hours early Tuesday morning, according to the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies were called to the area of Loop 1604 and FM 1518 just after 12:30 a.m. for the single vehicle accident. Officials said a woman was trapped in her vehicle but was dead when first responders got her out.

BCSO officials did not say what caused the crash.
Loop 1604 was closed until about 6 a.m. while deputies investigated.
