Why the Dallas Cowboys Won’t make it to the Super Bowl Next Year!

A Surprise Move

The decision comes as a big shock to the Cowboys nation, as Moore has been the Cowboys offensive coordinator since 2019, and has excelled rapidly for them. In his four-years in Dallas, the Cowboys offense has ranked 6th, 17th, 1st, and 4th in points scored.

For a second-season in-a-row, the underrated Offensive Coordinator helped Dallas get to a 12-5 record, which they attended the NFC Wildcard game. On Jan 16, 2023, they proceeded to the Divisional Round after beating the Tampa Bay Buccaneers 31-14.

The 33-year-old also averaged 27.7 points per game, (second in the NFL since 2019 behind the Kansas City Chiefs’ 28.8 points per game).

However, someone on the offensive coaching staff had to take the fall for their team’s latest postseason exit. The 19-12 Divisional Round defeat to the San Francisco 49er’s (second-seed).

Offensive Obstacles

What about Mr. Prescott? Did Jerry Jones forget about him? “Mr. Interception”. He did co-lead the league with (15) interceptions.  Even though he had a right thumb injury and was absent from five games, he did tie Davis Mills of the Houston Texans in NFL history to lead or co-lead the NFL in picks. That surely couldn’t of helped the offense.

Even when backup (QB) Cooper Rush came in when Prescott was hurt, Moore gave him the tools he needed to help the team score over 20 points in 4 of the 5 games the outstanding backup started in.

Now it’s time to address the elephant in the room, (Kicker) Brett Maher. Most teams watch to see if the extra point or field goal is going to be made, Cowboys fans watch to see if the extra point/field goal isn’t going to be made. Come on Jerry, it’s time to cut ties with Mr. Maher.

Let’s take a look at why: During the regular season he was 50 of 53 in extra-point attempts and made 29 of 32 field goals tries. Since then, his postseason has not been anything to write home about, as he was 1 of 6 on extra point attempts and made both of his field goals.

There really wasn’t any excuse for not using kicker Tristan Vizcaino earlier as he was signed to the Cowboys practice squad.

New Offensive Play-Caller

It looks as if McCarthy will be calling the plays for Dem Boys next year. He has many years of calling plays for different teams that he has served on; such as the 49er’s with Alex Smith and the Packers with Aaron Rodgers.

I guess I will have to give him a chance, but there must of been a reason in the first place why Moore was calling the plays and not McCarthy?

Good-Bye…

I am so sorry to say good-bye to, but very happy that Moore has found a new home with the Los Angeles Chargers. I wish him the best of luck there and hope that they treat him better than their last employer did.
