Who’s Been The Raiders Offensive MVP? Fans Say Josh Jacobs

The Las Vegas Raiders are capitalizing on the imposing run game led by Josh Jacobs. Most recently, they rode it to their second victory of the season, bringing them two games closer to getting back to .500 on the year. Jacobs’s fiery running as of late has made him one of the key cogs in the Raiders’ offense. But just how important is Jacobs right now?

After getting it going late in the second quarter, Jacobs ended up taking over the game offensively against the Houston Texans. Love Smith, the Texans’ head coach, was asked about Jacobs in the second half after the matchup. He praised the running back while alluding to his defense breaking down against No. 28 on Sunday. “I’d say in the second half, that’s when they got the run going. At the half, I thought we were in decent shape. We had breakdowns at the end. I say break down – you miss a gap, then you miss a tackle. That’s what happened. He’s kind of done that to everybody; he’s a good running back,” said Smith. Raiders fans are likely in agreement with the coach, but is Jacobs the MVP for the entire season so far?
