When Roberto Firmino is expected to return for Liverpool

A fresh update on Liverpool forward Roberto Firmino has been provided recently.

Firmino has been a mainstay in Liverpool’s attack for many years now, but has fallen somewhat out of favour of late.

This is in part due to the form of both Luis Diaz and Diogo Jota, but also due to the fact the South American has been struggling with injury.

Firmino missed both of Liverpool’s Champions League semi-final clashes with Villarreal, and was also absent for the Reds’ last three league ties.

Now though, The Athletic’s James Pearce has provided an update on Firmino, simply stating: “Possibly back for the weekend.”

Liverpool vs Tottenham

Liverpool’s next outing will see them face off with Tottenham this coming Saturday in a late Premier League kick-off.

The clash is of course a huge one for the Merseysiders, with any sort of slip up expected to cost them a shot at the Premier League title.

Liverpool head into the weekend’s action sat 2^nd in the Premier League, one point adrift of Manchester City with four league games left to play.

As for Tottenham, they put an end to their mini rut by smashing Leicester City 3-1 last time out.

Elsewhere, Manchester City are due to take on Newcastle United on Sunday the 8^th of May, with the Magpies, much like they were vs Liverpool, expected to prove a tough nut to crack.
