The Champions League quarter-final line-up is set in stone after the completion of the round-of-16 on Wednesday.

Liverpool were unable to overturn their huge deficit to Real Madrid as they crashed out of the tournament 6-2 on aggregate – a record defeat for the Reds – following a 1-0 loss to the defending champions at the Bernabeu.

On Tuesday, Manchester City thrashed RB Leipzig to join Chelsea in the last eight, with Erling Haaland in record-breaking form for Pep Guardiola’s side.

Chelsea had secured their spot in the last eight with a crucial victory over Borussia Dortmund last week, while rivals Tottenham fell short against AC Milan as they were dumped out of the tournament.

The quarter-final stage is where the Champions League really becomes interesting, with seedings no longer a factor and clubs from the same country able to face each other. But when does the draw take place? And when will the quarter-final ties be played? Sportsmail provides the answers below.
