Watching the young guards grow remains a bright spot for the Spurs

Despite the horrid start to the annual Rodeo Road Trip, there are signs of life
Kings analyst Grant Napear is well-known across Northern California for shouting the same phrase after good plays spanning three decades of watching Sacramento basketball, “If you don’t like that, you don’t like NBA basketball!” On an otherwise forgettable weekend, here are some highlights from our swingmen — that would be worthy of such a playcall.
Dejounte Murray– The darting back and forth into a smooth jumpshot calls to mind a vintage Tony Parker pet move:

Derrick White – Though his shooting from the top of the arc has been his bread and butter, White may find the corner threes better to his liking:

Lonnie Walker IV – Though three point shooting is a great way to space the floor, it’s also having a wing cover this much ground in a short amount of time that helps the offense, as well:

Walker IV also seems to have enrolled in the Manu graduate school of ‘Get to the Basket By Any Means.’ The change-of-direction dribble Lonnie demonstrates here:

This glide across the lane evokes memories of countless Ginobili-esque buckets:
