Warriors Not Strongly Interested In Pairing Ben Simmons With Draymond Green

The Golden State Warriors are not believed to be interested in trading for Ben Simmons for as long as Draymond Green is also on the roster.

There has been some debate over whether Simmons and Green could co-exist due to their deficiencies as perimeter shooters. But both players are among the league’s best on defense and are incredibly versatile. Simmons and Green are also excellent passers and can operate off the dribble. The Warriors have functioned effectively on offense with a traditional center that can’t space the floor next to Green dating back to Andrew Bogut and continuing to the present in Kevon Looney.

The Warriors are internally divided on the subject of trading for Simmons.

The Warriors also tend to seek unanimity on major decisions.
