Golden State Warriors star Jimmy Butler couldn’t resist taking a playful shot at Klay Thompson after his team defeated the Miami Heat 120-100 on Thursday night. Butler, who previously trolled Luka Doncic with a hilarious Instagram video, turned his attention to another familiar face following Golden State’s sixth consecutive victory.
The injured forward shared a humorous Instagram clip featuring a pointed message that appeared directed at Thompson, who returned to Chase Center as a member of the Heat.
"Don't just hand it to me, I gotta take it from you."

“Don’t just hand it to me, I gotta take it from you,” the character says in the video. Another moment features the line, “Remember, you don’t know me anymore.”
The post added another layer of entertainment to Thompson’s return to Golden State, where he spent 13 seasons and won four NBA championships alongside Stephen Curry and Draymond Green.
Butler’s playful jab came after the Warriors delivered another impressive performance despite his continued absence while recovering from ACL surgery.
Curry led Golden State with 29 points, including 22 in the second half, as the Warriors pulled away following a competitive opening stretch. Rookie Yaxel Lendeborg contributed 17 points, eight rebounds, and six assists.
Thompson’s return had already generated considerable attention, with Steve Kerr admitting it felt strange seeing his former players in Heat uniforms.
For Butler, watching his teammates defeat his former franchise apparently provided the perfect opportunity for some social media mischief.
The exchange also highlighted Butler’s playful personality, as the veteran forward continues to stay involved with the Warriors through social media while working his way back from injury this season.
