The rookie and his teammates will be featured in the new H-E-B commercial(s) coming out soon.

Victor Wembanyama teased his impending big-screen debut in an upcoming H-E-B commercial this Monday. In San Antonio, memories of iconic commercials featuring Spurs legends date back to 2004, making it fitting that this tradition is set for a reboot with Wemby taking the lead.

When questioned about his acting abilities, the rookie exuded confidence, claiming a potential future in acting. Wemby also revealed his favorite HEB commercial: the 2014 one where the cast spoke in a sophisticated manner, featuring Tony Parker, Tim Duncan, and Manu Ginobili.

Victor remained tight-lipped about his role in the upcoming commercial, leaving room for speculation. I wouldn’t be surprised if his fellow French colleague, Parker, joined him in the ad. Given the focus of these commercials on food products and the French culture’s passion for culinary arts, it feels right to have both of them in it. Since the H-E-B commercials are always a team effort, we can assume at least Devin Vassell and Keldon Johnson will also join, with many more possibilities as well.

On Monday, Victor reiterated his passion for reading, disclosing his favorite author as American fantasy writer Brandon Sanderson.

Drawing parallels between the early careers of King James and Wemby’s idol, Kevin Durant is intriguing. While Wemby leads in various categories, what stands out is the challenge of achieving early team success as a rookie.

As it seems like Wemby has been away from basketball for a while, here’s a fun thread showcasing his top plays in November. Personal favorite? Number 2, where the rookie effortlessly navigates past two defenders, driving in for a dazzling dunk.
