A 16-year-old boy was shot and killed following an argument at an apartment complex on the city’s Northwest Side, according to the San Antonio Police Department.
Officers responded to the incident just after 10:30 p.m. Sunday at an apartment complex in the 8700 block of Cinnamon Creek Drive, near Fredericksburg and Wurzbach roads.

According to police, the victim, who has not been identified, got into an argument with a 17-year-old boy. The argument escalated and a struggle ensued over a firearm. That’s when, police said, the victim was shot in the torso.
The victim died at the scene, according to officers.
The 17-year-old was detained at the scene by the authorities.
It appears the suspect and victim knew each other, police said.
