U21s preview: United v Crystal Palace
Young midfielder Charlie Savage, who was part of the senior side’s Tour 2022 preparations this summer, captained United’s side last weekend and could play again on Friday.
Sonny Aljofree, Dan Gore, Isak Hansen-Aaroen, Marc Jurado, Kobbie Mainoo, Sam Mather, Charlie McNeill and Logan Pye were all part of last season’s FA Youth Cup final-winning squad and were also named in last Saturday’s opening-day group.
New playing coach Tom Huddlestone could also feature for the first time on the pitch since joining the club earlier this month, during Friday’s fixture as one of five permitted over-age outfield players.
