Tyler Herro Cleared For Non-Contact Work, Unlikely To Return This Season

Tyler Herro suffered a broken right hand in Game 1 of the first round and has now been cleared to resume non-contact basketball work.

When Herro suffered the injury and underwent surgery, the Miami Heat announced he would miss a minimum of six weeks.

The Heat haven’t ruled out the possibility of Herro returning if the Heat advance to The Finals, but that is not considered likely by those close to the situation.

Herro closed the regular season as the Heat’s third-leading scorer with 20.1 points per game on 43.9 percent shooting from the field and 37.8 percent shooting on threes.
