Two men injured in shooting, vehicle accident on same block of S.A. street an hour apart

Two men were taken to the hospital after a shooting and a motor vehicle accident that occurred on the same block within an hour of each other on Tuesday night.

San Antonio police were first called to the 3200 block of Cripple Creek just before 9:30 p.m., for a fight between two men that turned into a shooting. One man was taken to the hospital for a graze to the head while the second fled on foot.

Less than an hour later, a man was hit by a vehicle on the same block and taken to the hospital. The description of the victim in the accident matched the description of the shooter in the initial incident, however police have not confirmed whether the shooting suspect and the victim were in fact the same person.

Police have not officially linked the two incidents nor have released additional details.
