Deputies conducted a traffic stop near Wurzbach and Exchange Parkways, where they found a cardboard box with 11 kilograms, or 25 pounds, of meth, the department said. Officials estimated the box had a street value of about $550,000.

During the investigation, deputies were also able to secure a search warrant for a residence near the 5100 block of Flipper Drive involved in the investigation. Deputies along with the Drug Enforcement Agency Taskforce and the Live Oak K9 Unit raided the house where they found more meth, a weapon and more than $3,500 in cash.

Haggard and Hernandez are documented gang members, BCSO said. Hernandez is also currently on federal probation for a previous drug conviction.
