Tryout players at 49ers rookie camp on Day 1

The San Francisco 49ers held their first day of rookie minicamp, where top pick Ji’Ayir Brown and his fellow draftees hit the field after the entire class was signed to their contracts yesterday.

Additionally, San Francisco’s batch of 12 undrafted free agents, all signed as well, were present on Friday to begin minicamp, but there were eyes on a different group as well: the 11 tryout players who earned an invite to camp.

NBC Sports’s Matt Maiocco reported that the 49ers had quarterbacks Clayton Thorson and Steven Montez, wide receiver Jalen Hall, tight end Gavin Schoenwald, defensive linemen Michael Owusu and Blaine Hoover, linebacker Trevor Brohard, cornerback Ronald Williams, and safeties Cade Pugh and Darius Williams all present on Day 1 of minicamp.
