A member of the Tren de Aragua gang was arrested for shooting a man four times at an apartment complex on the North Side, according to an affidavit.
Maikol Williams Laguna Chirinos was charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, Bexar County records show.
The shooting happened on Oct. 6, 2024, at the Parkhaus Apartments in the 7900 block of Jones Maltsberger Road, San Antonio police said.
The victim, also a member of Tren de Aragua, argued with his girlfriend, which prompted her to make plans to move out, the affidavit stated.
The girlfriend brought another man, described as older in the affidavit, to the apartment to help her gather items.
However, the victim told the older man to unload his girlfriend’s belongings because she was not moving out, according to San Antonio police.
Court records stated that the older man would not return the items unless the girlfriend told him to do so. He eventually left the apartment after the woman’s boyfriend threatened him, authorities stated.
The affidavit said that the older man returned to the apartment with a group of people, which included Chirinos. They knocked on the door, and the victim answered.
The victim was confronted about disrespecting older people, authorities said. Chirinos ultimately shot the man three times in the body and once in the head, the affidavit said.
Authorities said he was taken to a local hospital and survived after extensive treatment.
Chirinos remains in the Bexar County Adult Detention Center with bonds totaling $200,000, according to court records.
