Trainer says 49ers’ Deebo Samuel is ‘about to get paid’

Insiders have recently offered different takes on whether or not they believe San Francisco 49ers dual-threat offensive weapon and All-Pro selection Deebo Samuel could skip the start of training camp next week following his offseason trade request

Samuel has remained in the final year of his rookie contract since that initial request but attended the club’s mandatory minicamp last month and later teased through social media he could remain with the organization for at least one more season. There’s now a big hint the 26-year-old and the 49ers could once again soon be on the same page regarding his future. 

As Charean Williams noted for Pro Football Talk, Samuel’s trainer shared a video on social media in which he declared that the offensive talent is “about to get paid.” The Athletic’s David Lombardi tweeted this is “yet another indication that Samuel’s contractual status with the 49ers is headed in a very positive direction” with veterans set to report to camp next Tuesday:
