Tottenham ready to use English duo in summer swoop for Tino Livramento
Tottenham could be ready to offer one of Harry Winks and Cameron Carter-Vickers to Southampton in an attempt to sweeten any potential deal for young wing-back Valentino Livramento.
Chelsea have a buy-back clause valued at 38 million pounds, that becomes active in 2023, but there is no guarantee that they will take it up, and their position has been made increasingly uncertain by the recent sanctions imposed on club owner Roman Abramovich.
Tottenham, however, have a strong interest in the English wing-back, having struggled to find a suitable option within their current squad for the role Antonio Conte is demanding. Emerson Royal has flattered to deceive since his 25 million pounds deadline-day move from Barcelona, while Matt Doherty had struggled for form until recently, and at 30 years old is not a long-term option.

Livramento, however, could be. The Southampton man has impressed from full-back in his first season of Premier League action, making 22 appearances for the Saints at just 19 years old.
Fee could be a sticking point
Of course, any potential fee could be a sticking point, with young English talent a valuable commodity and Livramento no different.
As per football insider, however, Spurs will look to sweeten the deal for the defender through a part-exchange for the defender, claiming:
‘Tottenham could offer Cameron Carter-Vickers or Harry Winks to Southampton in a bid to sweeten a potential deal for Tino Livramento.’
Given that Southampton already have better options in both positions, with James Ward-Prowse prowling the midfield and Mohammed Salisu in central defence, it seems unlikely that the Saints would bite on such a deal.
However, Tottenham will certainly push for the defender.
