Tom Brady Is Looking To Keep A Historic Streak Alive In Week 1

Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady is an outlier.

While it’s rare enough to see a 45-year-old quarterback in the NFL, he raises the stakes by playing at a high level and starting for the Super Bowl LV champions.

Last season, he finished second in the Most Valuable Player race behind Aaron Rodgers after finishing with 5,316 yards and 43 touchdowns.

His 2021 campaign was arguably his best season throughout his 21-year career

He is poised to have another strong year in 2022, given the talented cast of players around him.

These athletes could help him lead the Buccaneers to another postseason berth.

But before they reach that goal, Brady would like to maintain his dominance against the Dallas Cowboys.

FOX Sports NFL shared, “Tom Brady has never lost against the Cowboys. Will he continue the streak this Sunday?”

Like last season, the Buccaneers will open the season against the NFC East squad.

It remains to be seen, though, if the outcome will be the same.

Tampa Bay defeated Dallas in a pulsating 31-29 game to open their 2021 season with a victory.

Brady finished the game with 32 completions for 379 yards and four touchdowns.

Brady And The Patriots Beat The Cowboys

Aside from that game, the former Michigan standout has defeated the Cowboys five more times.

Those victories came when he was still with the New England Patriots, and the first one happened in 2003 via a 12-0 scoreline.

Brady completed only 15 passes out of 34 attempts for 212 yards and zero touchdowns in that game.

The second one came in 2007 with the Patriots dominating Dallas, 48-27.

He threw for 388 yards and five touchdowns in that game.

Four years later, Brady led the Patriots to victory over the Cowboys again, 20-16.

The other two instances came in 2015 and 2019.

Brady threw for a combined 465 yards and three scores in those two games.
