Tom Brady has high praise for epic Justin Jefferson catch

Tom Brady has witnessed countless great receptions on a football field, but Justin Jefferson’s catch may have topped them all.

On his “Let’s Go!” podcast Monday, the Buccaneers’ QB said the one-handed grab by the Vikings’ third-year receiver against the Bills on Sunday was one among the best of all time.

“A one-handed catch in coverage. Fourth and 18. On the road. End up winning the game. That has got to be one of the greatest catches in NFL history,” Brady said.

That’s high praise from Brady, who also witnessed the remarkable “Helmet Catch” by the Giants’ David Tyree against his Patriots in Super Bowl XLII.

“What a great young player Justin is,” Brady said. “I watch him every week. If he keeps making plays like that, it’s going to be something to watch as the years go by.”

Brady’s podcast co-host, Jim Gray, said Jefferson’s snag may have been the greatest catch of all time and that “Odell Beckham Jr. is going to have to step aside.” OBJ’s one-handed catch against the Cowboys in 2015 lives on in social media and NFL lore.

In each of his first two seasons in the league, Jefferson was named a Pro Bowler and second-team All-Pro.
