Titans hire 49ers’ Ran Carthon as general manager

The Tennessee Titans didn’t waste any time bringing in a new individual to lead their front office after a disappointing 2022 season.

Just over a week after finishing their season with a loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars, the Titans have a new general manager.

ESPN’s Dianna Russini was the first to report on Tuesday that Tennessee has hired San Francisco 49ers director of player personnel Ran Carthon to be their next general manager.

This is a well-deserved promotion for the former NFL running back and longtime personnel guy. Carthon, 41, was brought on by 49ers general manager John Lynch back in 2017 and has played a huge role in San Francisco returning to Super Bowl contention. He now joins a Titans organization that is going to face some difficult offseason decisions.
