Tiago Splitter joins the Brooklyn Nets staff
A new career awaits the former Spur.
Former Spurs center and member of the 2014 championship team Tiago Splitter has been hired as a pro scout for the Brooklyn Nets, per ESPN. Splitter officially announced his retirement from playing basketball back in February after ongoing hip issues limited him to only 44 games between the Atlanta Hawks and Philadelphia 76ers since 2015.
Splitter joins former Spurs player and assistant coach Sean Marks in Brooklyn, who was hired as the Nets’ general manager in 2016. Along with being a pro-scout, Splitter will also have other duties that include on-court player development.
Congrats on the new career, Tiago!
