The London Jaguars? NFL’s international games say so

The London Jaguars? They will be during Weeks 4 and 5 of the upcoming NFL season. It marks the first time in NFL history a team will play two international games in the same season.

The NFL started trickling out information on the upcoming NFL schedule on Wednesday morning with the international games — five in total — being the first to be revealed.

On Oct. 1, the Jaguars will “host” the Atlanta Falcons. A week later, they’ll be the “road” team against the Buffalo Bills. On Oct. 15, the Ravens and Titans will play in the last of 2023’s London Games.

Last week’s report from the German news organization Bild on the Germany Games turned out to be incorrect. The New Orleans Saints are the biggest winner on that front, avoiding playing in an international game in back-to-back seasons.

Instead, New England will play the Indianapolis Colts on Nov. 12.

For fans in Frankfurt, we can only hope this year’s game between the two teams is an improvement upon the dreck that was last’s year’s 26-3 Patriots win. The two teams combined for 324 yards and the Colts were 0-14 on third down. Frank Reich was fired the following day.

The other game set for Germany (Nov. 5) should be much better. The Dolphins and Chiefs — which was highlighted yesterday — will meet in a game featuring two of the best passing offenses in football.

The Chiefs led the league with 5,062 passing yards last season; the Dolphins were fourth with 4,511 yards.

Mexico City’s international game was canceled this year due to renovations at Estadio Azteca for the 2026 World Cup.

The full NFL schedule will be released on Thursday night with select games unveiled later today and Thursday morning.
