The Cowboys Have Set NFL Financial History

On the field, the Dallas Cowboys haven’t found much success.

Over the last decade, they have won only two playoff games and have gone through four 8-8 seasons.

More importantly, they haven’t reached the NFC Championship Game since 1995 when they won Super Bowl XXX.

Last season, the Cowboys added another heartbreak when they lost their Wild Card Round game at home to the San Francisco 49ers.

But while they are still looking for success on the field, they have been doing the right things business-wise, as Front Office Sports shared.

The tweet reads, “The first NFL franchise to be worth $8 billion, per @forbes: The Dallas Cowboys.”

That value also makes them the most expensive NFL franchise as of today.

The $4.5 billion final sale price for the Denver Broncos could have helped push the Cowboys’ value up.

With its current price tag, anyone who would like to purchase the team would have to fork out at least $10 billion.

That’s a steep amount that somewhat guarantees that Jerry Jones will be in control of the franchise for a while.

While the Cowboys are valued at $8 billion, the New England Patriots are second at $6.4 billion.

Completing the top three is the defending Super Bowl champion Los Angeles Rams at $6.2 billion.

Other NFL Franchises In The Top Ten

Coming in at number four are the New York Giants with a $6 billion valuation.

At number five are the Chicago Bears ($5.8 billion) while at number six are the Washington Commanders ($5.6 billion).

Closing out the top ten are the New York Jets ($5.4 billion), San Francisco 49ers ($5.2 billion), Las Vegas Raiders ($5.1 billion), and the Philadelphia Eagles ($4.9 billion).

Meanwhile, the Arizona Cardinals ($3.27 billion), Detroit Lions ($3.05 billion), and Cincinnati Bengals ($3 billion) have the lowest valuation among the 32 NFL teams.
