The Cowboys adventurous offseason so far

He has played in 148 games and has had 427 total tackles in his career. He also has had 29 interceptions, so just from these stats we can obviously see that Gilmore is an elite player.

While his age is catching up to him a bit, the Cowboys should be able to get some good talent out of him this year and so forth.

This deal was one of the best I’ve seen in a while for the Cowboys. I am super excited to have Gilmore on the team.

So long partner

Running Back Ezekiel Elliott was released on March 15th, and thrown into the free agency pile.

It was sad to see the great running back go, but many fans think it’s for the better. Elliott is getting older, and his talent is starting to fade. I wish him luck wherever he lands and hope for the best because he played his heart out while in Dallas.

So long Zeke, so long.

Smart re-signing moves

On March 16th and 17th, the Dallas Cowboys re-signed both Corner Back C.J. Goodwin and Quarterback Cooper Rush.

Goodwin received a one-year contract and Rush obtained a two-year contract. This would be another great move by the Cowboys, for each one of these re-signs are critical.

The Cowboys now have the best backup quarterback in the league, and a very talented cornerback that has much potential and skill to show while in Dallas.

Trading with your neighbor

The Dallas Cowboys staff didn’t have to go too far to find their next trade deal.

On March 19th the Houston Texans traded Wide Receiver Brandin Cooks to the Cowboys for a 5th-round pick in the 2023 NFL Draft and a 6th-round pick in the 2024 draft.

This was another great deal for the Cowboys, as the wide receiver position was a large flaw for the team last season.

A new running back

That’s right, the Cowboys signed a new running back to replace Elliott.

Running Back Ronald Jones will be with the team and has a 1-year contract that was signed on March 21st.

This is another great acquisition for the team. While Tony Pollard is fast, Ronald can be the big guy who pushes his way through on goal line stands.

The bad news

The only problem I and many other fans have at the moment is the fact that Tight End Dalton Schultz has moved on from the Cowboys and will be attending the Houston Texans for next season.
