Texans RB Dameon Pierce Was Highest Graded RB This Preseason

The Houston Texans may have found themselves a star in RB  Dameon Pierce. Pierce was drafted in the 4th round of the 2022 NFL draft. He played four seasons with Florida where he ran for over 1800 yards and totaled 23 rushing TDS as a Gator. He also had over 400 yards receiving and five receiving TDS.

Pierce was by far the most impressive back for the Texans during their three preseason games (Saints, Rams, 49ers). Not only did he do enough to make the Texans roster, he may have done enough to become Houston’s number one back. He was the highest graded RB (92.4) in the NFL throughout the whole preseason. Also, Pierce proved to be a physical back. In all three preseason games he was fighting for yards after contact and its evident in his yards per carry which was right around six for the preseason.

Fantasy football owners are reaching to draft this guy and it made end up being an extremely smart move. There’s a good chance Pierce ends up with the starting job. Don’t be surprised if he’s a large part of the offense early in the year.
