Terance Mann Named Fifth Starter For Clippers
Ty Lue announced that Terance Mann will start for the Los Angeles Clippers next season.
Mann will join Paul George, Kawhi Leonard, Russell Westbrook, and Ivica Zubac in the starting lineup.
Lue cited Mann’s defensive versatility for his decision.
“We can start him on a point guard, where we can put him on Steph [Curry] and Dame [Lillard] and guys like that. Then we can play him on [bigger players such as Lauri Markkanen] if we have to, and just his versatility of being able to guard point guards as well as 2s, 3s and 4s I think makes the most sense right now,” said Lue.
Mann has been frequently involved in trade rumors for James Harden, with the latest reports saying that the team will not include the player in any deal.
Lue reiterated the team’s commitment to Mann.
“We love T-Mann and T-Mann is going to be here. So we’re not really worried about,” added Lue.
