Vote on how you think the Spurs should approach the 2024 offseason.

The NBA Playoffs are in full swing and we are already getting buzzer beating shots and improbable comebacks. San Antonio Spurs fans are watching from the sidelines this year, all while scheming for ways the team can improve to playoff status. There are a lot of differing opinions on exactly how to reach that goal.

Some people want the Spurs to move fast. Victor Wembanyama has already proven to be an NBA star in his rookie season, so why not put a team around him that can contend? San Antonio has a plethora of draft assets and young players they can trade for stars. They’ll have around $20-$25 million in cap space this summer to sign free agents. It seems like now is the time to hit the gas.

Others may see things differently. Wembanyama is just 20-years-old and under contract for the foreseeable future. Why throw away draft assets that could become cheaper stars while tossing big money at players that could hamstring the Spurs cap situation down the road. Those people think it’s better to build slowly, depending on the development of San Antonio’s young core. Of course there is a middle ground here where the Spurs keep their assets intact and add veteran help around the fringes.

In the newest SB Nation Reacts survey, we want to know exactly how you would want the Spurs to handle this offseason. Do you want to push all of the chips in for a star? If so, who would that be? Are you more concerned with building through the draft? Which prospects intrigue you the most? These are some of the biggest questions leaning over the Spurs offseason. Let us know what you think by voting on the survey below, and sharing your thoughts in the comments!
