Storms could provide some relief from the heat in San Antonio next week

Relief is on the way to ease scorching temperatures, we just have to get through the weekend first.

According to the National Weather Service, San Antonio is forecasted to see a 60 percent chance of rain on Monday. The greatest shot at showers and thunderstorms will likely be after 1 p.m.

Rain chances continue for Monday night with a 50 percent chance of precipitation. On Tuesday, rain chances increase again to 60 percent, according to the NWS.

By Tuesday night, rain chances drop to 40 percent and rise again on Wednesday with 50 percent shot at rain. 

As far as temperatures, looks like the forecast projects them to be below 90 to just near 90 degrees. 

Still, we must endure the heat going into this weekend. 

For Thursday, highs are expected to be near 94 with a heat index as high as 103. The heat continues for Friday with mostly cloudy skies to start the day. Highs will be near 96 degrees with a heat index value of 103.

On Saturday, skies will be mostly sunny with a high near 95 degrees, while San Antonio can expect partly cloudy skies with a high near 93 degrees before the rain arrives on Monday.
