Steven Gerrard reveals Aston Villa injury concerns before Burnley
Aston Villa boss Steven Gerrard has provided an update on his squad’s wellbeing, ahead of the club’s meeting with Burnley.
The Claret and Blue are of course set to return to action this weekend, making the trip to Turf Moor for a Premier League meeting with a resurgent Burnley.
Any hopes on the part of Saturday’s visitors of building on a 2-0 downing of Norwich City last time out, though, could be dented by the absences of as many as three key first-team stars.
Speaking in a press conference on Friday afternoon, Steven Gerrard was asked for the latest injury news stemming from his squad.
And the Villa boss went on to reveal that with both Leon Bailey and Kortney Hause already ruled out of the Lancashire clash, midfield starlet Jacob Ramsey has too emerged as a major doubt owing to a fitness issue picked up in training this week.
Fellow midfielder Morgan Sanson, on the other hand, is expected to come back into contention for a starting berth:

Turning attentions towards Saturday’s hosts, Burnley could too be without a number of first-team regulars when they kick the club’s relegation bid back into gear against Villa.
As per an official release across the club’s social media platforms on Friday, both Maxwel Cornet and Jay Rodriguez are viewed as doubts for the clash, ahead of respective last-minute fitness tests tomorrow morning.
Long-term absentees Johann Berg Gudmundsson, Ben Mee, Ashley Westwood and Erik Pieters, meanwhile, have been ruled out.
