Steve Walsh appeals for information after thieves stole his Premier League winner’s medal from 2016

Former Leicester City and Everton chief Steve Walsh has had his Premier League, Championship and League One winner’s medals stolen.

Thieves broke into Walsh’s home in the north-west and took the ‘precious’ medals that he won during his time as Leicester assistant manager.

A special Leicester City edition Hublot watch, given to him by the late club chairman Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha, was also taken.

Walsh’s daughter Hannah tweeted out a plea for anyone with information to contact Lancashire Police.   

She added: ‘The family will not be issuing any further statement, we simply ask that you share as far and wide as possible to help us trace these precious items and safely return them to our family.’  

Walsh was Leicester’s head of recruitment responsible for the successful signings of Jamie Vardy, Riyad Mahrez and N’Golo Kante.

He was also part of Claudio Ranieri’s staff during their incredible run to the Premier League title before he moved to Goodison Park as director of football.

Walsh spent two years at Everton before being replaced by Marcel Brands in 2018. He has since been a special advisor at MLS expansion club Charlotte FC ahead of their first season in the league next year.
