The Spurs Jackals, the fan group that calls itself the loudest in the NBA, are adding 100 new members for the upcoming season.
Auditions at the Frost Bank Center will bring the group to 175 members, expanding it across sections 114 and 115.
Almost 300 people are auditioning for the 100 spots.
Adrian Lamas, who is auditioning for the Jackals, said he already brings the energy at home.
“Every day I’m screaming on the couch at the TV,” Lamas said. “I finally have some people around me who are going to match that same energy.”
Once the top 100 are chosen for the new season, all Jackals members must pay the $999 membership fee. The fee grants access to every preseason and regular-season home game.
“I’m just going to be myself, be the hype man for myself and be the hype man for the people around me and set the bar,” Lamas said. ”People talk about not being a thermometer, but being a thermostat and setting the temperature rather than just reading it.”
