Starting Tuesday, May 17, Southwest Airlines customers will notice a new option when booking flights. The Dallas-based airliner launched Wanna Getaway Plus, a new fare with transferrable flight credits and more flexibility.

It’s the fourth fare option offered by Southwest. Wanna Getaway Plus joins Wanna Getaway, Anytime, and Business Select. Southwest says the newcomer “amplifies” the benefits of current fares. With the new option, travelers are able to receive flight credit if a trip is canceled, transfer flight credits, same-day confirmed change, same-day standby list, and all the benefits of the standard Wanna Getaway tier, like two free bags and free changes and cancelations.

Wanna Getway Plus is now available for booking on Southwest.com and the Southwest app.

“As travelers increasingly return to the sky, we know that added flexibility and greater choice is more important to our customers than ever before,” Jonathan Clarkson, vice president of marketing, says in a press statement. “With Wanna Get Away Plus, we’re thrilled to offer a new low-fare product that enhances Southwest’s fare lineup and provides more options for our customers, while maintaining all of the benefits our customers know and love about our existing fares, and even adding some new ones.”

The fare launch comes on the heels of more Southwest additions. On Wednesday, May 11, the company revealed $2 billion in new flight amenities. The plan includes faster WiFI, USB charging ports for each seat, larger overhead bins, the new ticket category, and more entertainment and refreshments.

Southwest also recently earned the 2022 J.D. Power Award for Highest Customer Satisfaction among economy airliners in the U.S.
