Skip Bayless Names 1 Player The Cowboys Should Sign

The Dallas Cowboys may be 6-2 and have a healthy Dak Prescott back under center, but there is still a feeling that they’re a piece or two short of a complete puzzle.

With their long-time rival San Francisco 49ers loading up by trading for star running back Christian McCaffrey and the New York Giants looking strong, the Cowboys may need a reinforcement to make sure it will reach the playoffs this winter.

Skip Bayless, a well-known longtime Cowboys fan, feels they should sign Odell Beckham Jr.

An Intriguing Veteran Option

Beckham has remained unsigned ever since he suffered an ACL injury during the Super Bowl last season as a member of the Los Angeles Rams.

He has been recovering from that injury since, but he has made it clear that he would like to sign with a contender.

Dallas looks like it has a good team on paper, but its passing attack is anemic, as it ranks just 23rd in passing touchdowns and 27th in passing yards.

Some of those low ranks have to do with the injury that kept Prescott out for five games, but it goes deeper than that.

Other than CeeDee Lamb, who is having a strong season, the Cowboys lack any real threats downfield, and they’ve been heavily dependent on him and running back Ezekiel Elliott to generate points and move the chains.

Many have felt all along that refusing to pay Amari Cooper, who is now with the Cleveland Browns, was a big mistake.

At this point of his career, Beckham almost certainly wouldn’t be an every-down wideout for the Cowboys, but he could give them a speed threat at times who could take pressure off Lamb and diversify their offense.
