“Lewes, credit to them, made it very difficult. We are a team that wants to play football but at time, you have to mix it [up].

“They added great physicality to the game, the [Lewes] fans were excellent and really drove their team forward.

“It was a real, proper cup tie. It’s something I’m happy and privileged we’ve been a part of. We take the result and we’re through to the semi-finals.

“Our quality was always going to show through in the end. The reality is it could have been more comfortable, and should have been, but that’s [down] to us taking the moments, that’s got to be us.”
