Signed Tom Brady rookie card expected to break $2.25M record at auction

A Tom Brady rookie card autographed by the seven-time Super Bowl winner is currently up for auction, and the rare piece of memorabilia is expected to break a record established just last month for a football card.

Lelands is running the auction of the signed 2000 Playoff Contenders Tom Brady rookie insert. The prized piece of memorabilia in question is considered the “Holy Grail” of Brady rookie cards due to its rarity, according to Bleacher Report. Only 100 were ever printed.

As noted in a tweet in April from Lelands, the same Brady rookie insert currently up for auction sold for $2,252,854 in April, which set the record in question.
