Premier Stay
The back pages of tomorrow’s Daily Mail is set to feature the story that Manchester City’s all time leading goal scorer, Sergio Aguero, wants to stay in the Premier League and that Chelsea are leading the race to sign him.

Aguero announced this is to be his last season at City and such is the admiration the club has for him that they have already said they will produce a statue of the Argentinian superstar at the Etihad, alongside fellow greats Vincent Kompany and David Silva.
He is set to be one of the most sought after free transfers available this summer and has been linked to Barcelona and Benfica.
Should there be any truth to the rumour, he would be seen as valuable asset to Chelsea offering something different to Tammy Abraham, Olivier Giroud and a badly misfiring Timo Werner.
It will also represent something of a sliding doors moment for Chelsea, who opted to take Liverpool’s Fernando Torres over Sergio Aguero back in 2011.

Thomas Tuchel would likely welcome Aguero with open arms as he looks to mould the squad more to his liking this summer.
Another player linked to Chelsea, also from a Premier League club, is Liverpool’s Gini Wijnaldum.

Despite the club having a number of options in midfield, the addition of the Dutchman would likely mean the departure of of someone, possibly Jorginho back to Italy or Billy Gilmour out on loan.
Chelsea haven’t been shy in spending money since Roman Abramovich took over and went on major spree last summer, but the addition of two players of such proven quality would be seen as good business by Chelsea, even if unlikely.
