Sean McVay Is Being Brutally Honest About The Season

The Los Angeles Rams won the Super Bowl not even a year ago.

Since then, reality has set in big time, and the Rams had to endure a rough year all around.

Matthew Stafford, Cooper Kupp, Allen Robinson, and Aaron Donald are just a few star players to suffer injuries this year, and the Rams are going to finish the season with six wins at most if they find a way to defeat the Seattle Seahawks in Week 18.

Amid a tough year, Rams head coach Sean McVay got brutally honest about the 2022 season.

After the Rams defeated the Cincinnati Bengals in the Super Bowl, they entered the 2022 season as one of the favorites in the NFC once again.

At the bye week, they had a 3-3 record, but they came out of the bye and lost six straight games and came crashing right back down to Earth.

McVay admitted this season is “humbling” and has been a “professional failure”, but the future still looks promising in LA despite a lack of draft picks.

The addition of Baker Mayfield helped fill the void after Stafford went on IR, but the Rams offense as a whole has suffered a ton of injuries to players at just about every position.

The Rams went all-in to get a Super Bowl last season and they ended up with the Lombardi Trophy, but the 2022 season was nowhere near what anybody around the organization had expected.

The season is almost over, which is good news for the Rams as they can look forward to 2023.
