Sean McVay Has Honest Admission About Jared Goff Trade

Jared Goff was drafted with the No. 1 overall pick in 2016 by the Los Angeles Rams.

Cut ahead to the present and he is currently winless with the Detroit Lions.

Goff went from playing in the postseason to be traded in a matter of months early in 2021.

Word came out that he was shocked by the move and that makes sense given the success the Rams had with him under center.

Rams head coach Sean McVay is addressing the situation this week as the Rams and Lions prepare to meet up in Los Angeles.

Goff is seeking revenge against his former team, while Matthew Stafford is looking to prove he was never the problem in Detroit.

McVay has made it a point to basically apologize for the way Goff was sent away so unceremoniously.

He had this to say about the situation:

“Yes, I wish there was better, clearer communication,” McVay said Monday. “To say that it was perfectly handled on my end, I wouldn’t be totally accurate in that. I’ll never claim to be perfect, but I will try to learn from some things that I can do better, and I think that was one of them without a doubt.”

Well, we will call it a half apology at best.
