San Antonio’s 210 area code was used in ‘Daily Show’ newspaper ad trolling Trump

A parody newspaper ad for the faux legal firm of Trevor Noah & Associates & Sons, which ran in The New York Times, The Washington Post and the Los Angeles Times on Thursday, used an area code for its phone number San Antonians know well – 210.

The full-page ad, which aims to troll President Donald Trump about the alleged  “corruption” surrounding his presidency, includes a working phone number. If you dial 1-210-WH-CRIME (1-210-942-7463), you will be greeted with a pre-recorded message from Trevor Noah & Associates & Sons.

In the pre-recorded message, the representative jokes, “para Español, oprmina hang up,” which alludes to the ad stating, “¡No Habla Español!” The message also says to press one if you are the president of the United States and to press two if you are not. The recording is also used to encourage people to register to vote.

After the ad ran, many on Twitter pointed out the 210 area code.

“Best part is that’s a San Antonio area code @Trevornoah – the coveted 210,” @JoeGuillotin wrote on Twitter.

“Nice! Why the San Antonio area code, though?” @MrGaryCooper asked Noah on Twitter.

Noah, who hosts “The Daily Show” on Comedy Central, did not respond as to why there was a San Antonio connection, but he asked Trump in a tweet to “take a break from Fox & Friends” and give his law firm a call.
