San Antonio woman allegedly tied up in robbery-turned-police chase, SAPD says

The alleged robbery occurred just before 1:30 a.m. in the blocks of Parliament Road and Sir Winston Street, near Phil Hardberger Park. The victim told police she was at her apartment when two men showed up.

She said she was first tied up by the two males but then untied after the men demanded she call a friend to come over for a possible drug deal, police said. When the other friend, a female in her 20s, arrived, the men stole her backpack and car, officials said.

SAPD chased the stolen red Cadillac the men fled in on Blanco Road and followed the vehicle to Loop 410 between Medina Base Road and Ray Ellison Boulevard, according to officials. There, the suspects crashed into a median and fled the car into a neighborhood.

Police detained the suspects in the neighborhood just off the highway.

The authorities have not revealed the identities or ages of the suspects.

No injuries were reported. This is an ongoing investigation.
