Robeisy "El Tren" Ramirez successfully defends his title in Japan

In his first title defense, WBO featherweight world champion Robeisy Ramirez dominated Japanese challenger Satoshi Shimizu, securing a fifth-round TKO victory. Ramirez, a two-time Cuban Olympic gold medalist, easily figured out Shimizu, who had won three consecutive fights leading up to the title opportunity. Ramirez stayed in close range against his taller opponent, delivering powerful uppercuts and right hooks. In the fifth round, Ramirez knocked Shimizu down with a left uppercut, causing a bloody nose. Unable to recover, Shimizu faced a relentless flurry of punches from Ramirez, prompting the referee to stop the fight. Ramirez expressed gratitude for the opportunity to showcase his talent and announced his readiness for a world title unification clash, willing to fight anywhere necessary.
